Unfoldment of Life
© 2018 Sy’needa Penland
As the essence of my pen begins
To dichotomize the human soul,
Divine life unfolds within—
With every stroke of my essence,
Be it my voice, or whatever craft of choice.
I’m simply a devout scribe of modern-times,
Helping to balance the sands of times,
As love intertwines itself
With the manifestations of hate—
The energy of what an angry soul creates;
We must learn to make love
And procreate new seeds of Divine Life,
And nourish them with every ounce of our being—
The energy of Divine Love.

As creative art explodes within
every fiber of my being,
Cosmic delights of thy Universe
is what my Spirit is seeing;
When I close my eyes and explore
the multi-dimensions of my mind,
living truth unwinds— reality;
Yet the naked eye is blind to thee—
Cosmic energy, as our airways
are being filled with radio-active,
Pierce through thy veil,
as her Divine story foretells,
what has existed all along…

Wow... I'd always wondered why so many senior Naval Officers (Naval Academy Graduates) ganged together to punish me, when I'd filed a formal complaint to the Navy IG, to report their actions of racial-sexual discrimination, retaliation, corruption, along with a list of other criminal activity... Yet it appears as if the Naval Academy condones blatant racism!! WOW!!! Now, I can finally close that chapter of my life!!!!!!!!!!! No matter the times.... somethings never change!!
MIDSHIPMAN EXPELLED AT NAVAL ACADEMY FOR USING RACIAL SLUR - PLEBE TED COLTER PUNISHED FOR USING "N-WORD" IN WRITTEN COMMUNICATION WITH OTHER MIDS - DUMB- ASS FROM QUEENS, N.Y. PLANS TO FIGHT HIS EXPULSION - WOULD OTHER DISCIPLINE HAVE SUFFICED? - COLTER ATTORNEY JEFFREY McFADDEN ACKNOWLEDGES HIS CLIENT USED "BAD JUDGMENT" AND EXHIBITED "BAD TASTE"

One thing's for sure. Former Midshipman Ted Colter is as dumb as a brick. Even his lawyer admits that much. But is he a racist and deserves to be kicked out of the U.S. Naval Academy? We don't think so. And here's why.
At Bancroft Hall, various racial epithets have been known to have been uttered - disparaging blacks and whites alike. Such ignorance and stupidity deserves to be condemned, but when a person uses such a term in a written communication with other "mids," is that worth expulsion from a military academy and the likely ruination of their lives?
Wouldn't a pile of demerits or walking tours teach people like Colter that the use of the "n-word" is totally unacceptable? It is necessary to use a hammer to swat a fly? What do YOU think, dear reader? Let us know. Thank you.
USNA spokesperson CMDR David McKinney confirmed that kicking out the plebe over such an offense, is a first in the history of Annapolis. What he didn't address is what happens if next time the complainant is Caucasian? Would the Naval Academy be as quick to expel them?
NOT THE END OF THE LEGAL PROBLEMS
This is a slippery slope. The court battle that may well result from this action: is it worth it? We doubt the "leadership" at USNA wants any more bad publicity than they already have.
Colter's attorney, Jeffrey McFadden is trying to explain his client's behavior by citing the fact he came from the "mean streets" of Queens, New York where even the "N-word" is mild compared to some of the other slurs uttered there each day.
"The word was meant as a joke, but was admittedly in bad taste and in "poor judgment," the lawyer contends. McFadden has promised to appeal the Naval Academy's drastic action, and he might just win. What happens then?
