My latest poetry piece, "Inspired by the disrespectful behavior of American Citizens who refuse to honor those who sacrificed their lives for Liberty and Freedom that the younger generation has become accustomed to." I totally agree that our Anthems are outdated and prejudicial, yet I don't see anyone doing anything about it but use it as a platform to reciprocate racism. How about organizing a committee to rewrite it to include all of America's history?!

Old Great Liberty

Old Great Land of Liberty,
You are now home to thee,
Our flag bears your history,
To God we proudly sing.

On this day beneath the sky,
We shall all proudly rise,
To honor those who sacrificed
To give me liberty.

I for one have fought their wars,
Family feuds – to settle scores;
Like pawns in a game
They bear no shame;
For, they created thee.

On our shores, they settle scores,
While plotting more secret wars,
There’s no end to their misery,
Old Great Liberty.

I proudly raise my hand to thee,
To honor those who died for me,
I stand for their bravery,
Old Great Liberty.

As we stand beneath the sky,
We shall all proudly rise
To honor those who sacrificed
To give me liberty.
