When I first decided to enlist in the Navy, my first job choice was to become a journalist.
Because of the two year wait on the delayed entry program, I decided to become a cryptologic specialist instead.
After serving my first 7 years in the Navy, I no longer enjoyed the boring life of working at desolate military commands, they were always located too far away from all the action.
So decided to get out of the Navy as an enlisted person, and accepted a commission to become a Supply Corps officer. I wanted to see if the grass "was greener" on the other side.
Throughout my career, I continued to write poetry and kept personal journals. To aid me in working my way up to writing a complete fiction novel, once a week I'm going to share tales of my experiences and sea adventures....
I'll also share up close and personal details of what my life was like, for nearly a year, while working as the only female on-board a Navy warship.
Stay Tuned...
