Tribute to our Fallen Soldiers, "A Mother's Prayer"

A few weeks ago, after losing her youngest child, my aunt asked if I would write a letter of sincerity on her behalf, for those who paid their condolences to our family.  As one of God's special children, my cousin is now serving in OUR Father's heaven watching over each and every one of us.

In tribute to the Anniversary of the U.S. 9/11 war, I decided to share the letter because I feel it sends a special message to ALL MOTHERS who recently lost the life of their youngest child, especially our military veterans, who were all willing to sacrifice their lives for the sake of preserving humanity.

To whom it may concern,

I want to thank you for your thoughtful words of condolences and kindness as my family and I continue to celebrate the life of my son.  May his blessed spirit always be felt as we continue to celebrate his legacy, yesterday, today and always.

When a mother is faced with the decision to lay to rest one of her children, it is one of the most heartfelt decisions she ever has to face; especially when it’s her youngest child.

Throughout our children’s lives, we are tasked by God to watch over them soon after giving birth.  As we watch them grow, God orders our steps to take a step back, as he guides them the rest of the way through life.

Within our children, we pass on all the teachings and blessings bestowed upon us by our heavenly Father.  No matter the trials and tribulations, either we or our children may go through, God is always guiding our path.  It is when we are faced with passing the final test in our life, is when we reach that final stage to earn ourselves a place in God heavens.  If we shall pass this test, we will then earn ourselves a shining Star.

There are not enough words in the English language to describe how my son unselfishly fulfilled his duties to serving God.  All throughout his life, he touched so many hearts with acts of generosity, kindness and unrelenting heart.  To many, he will truly be missed.

As his birth mother, I too was able to fulfill my duties and responsibilities to God by raising such a remarkable servant to our Heavenly Father.

For he is my Sun, my Rain, my Pain, my Joy and my Salvation, because now, he is always watching over me, as one of God’s brightest shining Stars.

Sincerely,
A Mother
