Since the release of the right-winged film about President Obama, I’m surprised the President have not exercised the “Sedition Act”, to finally put an end to the Republican Tea Party relentless bigotry.

Below is an excerpt of the Act.
I’m sure his relative, “President James
Madison”, hailed as the “Father of the Constitution”, would want Congress to
put an end to centuries of hate and ongoing racial feuding.
Like my Native American ancestors, he’s
probably turning in his grave.

What is the crime against the United States?
ReplyDeleteFree speech is a consttutional right and as long as someone isn't yelling fire in a crowded theater of violating national security, what's the problem?
It almost sounds like you are suggesting that he exercise some type of executive privilege to crush any opposition when it's just politics at play. There were many people opposed to the use of executive privilege when the American people wanted information about "Fast and Furious" release the president covered for the Attorney General to prevent release of information in the investigation of the death of a U.S. citizen and the failure of Fast and Furious.
Maybe you should be asking the President to exercise some authority regarding those who conspired against you and stole your freedom for a period of time when everyone else seems to get off.
Anon,
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your comment and point well taken. As a "discharged" veteran, since the last election, I joined the military the same year I was able to legally vote. In the military, you are always taught to obey the order of the military Commander in Chief. As a federal employee, I spent my military career following orders, obeying rules and regulations, and as you so kindly pointed out, "Trying to uphold the law".
As an American taxpayer, veteran and "disabled" veteran I'm am extremely passionate, not just for our veterans, but for the sake of our nation.
Just in case you forgot, we are still at war, and our president is trying his best to mitigate a world nuclear war crisis. When all the House and Senate are behaving like spoiled children on a playground.
Are you serious!!
There is no need to debate this, because I'm sure you are well aware of what is going on throughout the world.
I think Anon is aware of what is going on in the world, although there appears to be a few words missing in his/her Fast and Furious comments. I do agree with Anon's observation and conclusion that it's just politics and each party is getting their jabs in. So, if there is enough time to try to attack someone for a movie, knowing all that's going on in the world, then there should be time for dealing with things a little more important to human rights than a movie designed as a political attack. I'm just sayin...it sounds like politics as usual.
