Equal Justice for All

Last Friday, Wavy 10 in Norfolk Va. covered the retirement ceremony of one of the Navy’s most senior high ranking Admiral’s, Admiral John. C. Harvey, a 1973 graduate of the U.S. Navy Academy.  In the article, linked below, the admiral proudly reminded us on how the U.S. Navy’s Fleet rapidly responds to a world crisis.  Yet the article also indicated his uncertainty, as the Commander of U.S. Fleet Forces Command to deal with a local crisis after a Navy jet crashed in Virginia Beach.

Several years ago, during his retirement ceremony, the first Type Commander of Navy Expeditionary Combat Command retired Admiral Donald Bullard, also expressed remorse at his retirement ceremony.  

The remorse was most likely due to his command logistics and budget office mismanagement of a defense contract which was used to re-hire a significant amount of senior retired officers and their buddies.  Most who had previously worked on his staff, as well as the Pentagon's staff.  The contract was "sole sourced", in better words it was rigged. 

My previous blog posts details the negligence of each of these commands with regards to protecting whistleblowers as well as U.S. tax dollars.

I can’t express it enough, Mitt Romney and his corporate friends are not the only ones who are benefiting from the hard earned dollar of America's middle and lower class citizens.  So are senior members, both active duty and retired, military officers.  They are some of the worse culprits of lobbying congress to allocate more of our tax dollars towards defense programming, meanwhile, the sick, elderly, poor, middle and lower class will continue to suffer.

There is no need for me to continue to beat this dead horse, because it appears that Americans would rather complain about what President Obama has NOT done for them, instead of voting out of office crooked Senators and Congressmans who are also bilking our pockets.

This upcoming election is a very important one because it will determine America’s course for the future.  President Obama is steering the course to move America FORWARD, not redirect our course back to the past.

In his lecture in 1844, Ralph Waldo Emerson quoted: “As nothing sharp shall warp me from the belief that every man is a lover of truth.  There is no pure lie, no pure malignity in nature.  The entertainment of the proposition of depravity is the last profligacy and profanation.  There is no skepticism, no atheism but that.  Could it be received into common belief, suicide would unpeople the planet.”

As a modern day poet, I admire the quote of the late Rodney King, “Can we all just get along”, after he was beaten by LA cops and the incident was caught on camera.

In July 2009, while serving as the 54th chief of naval personnel/OPNAV N1 and as the director, Navy staff (OPNAV), Admiral Harvey authorized an illegal discharge to separate me from the U.S. Navy, after I had already served 19 years, thereby grandfathering me from being illegally discharged.

Like Mitt Romney stated, I guess we are all victims of something (crime) or another, yet we are still begging and seeking restitution. 

All I’m seeking is equal justice, like every other victim and hard working American.
