Mother of ‘Good Morning America’ co-host Robin Roberts dies

My prayers are with Robin and her family.
NEW YORK (AP) — The mother of “Good Morning America” co-host Robin Roberts has died.
Jeffrey W. Schneider, senior vice president of ABC News, said 88-year-old Lucimarian Roberts died Thursday night.
ABC’s Facebook page said Robins traveled “home to Mississippi just in time to see her.”
The death came on the same day Roberts said goodbye to her co-workers and audience before starting medical leave for a bone marrow transplant.
Her departure had been set for Friday. But in a last-minute change of plans she told her viewers she was leaving a day early to visit her ailing mother.
WABC-TV said Lucimarian Roberts was the first African-American to head Mississippi’s board of education. She also collaborated with her daughter on a book titled, “My Story, My Song — Mother-Daughter Reflections on Life and Faith.”

Support ALL Vets Applying for PTSD Benefits

By Ruth Moore... Sign her Petition on Change.org
In 1986, at age 18, I joined the Navy eager to fight for my country. I had no idea that two and a half months into my first assignment, I would be raped – twice – by my supervisor. That was the first betrayal - resulting in a life filled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, insomnia, migraines, a sexually transmitted disease, miscarriages, suicide attempts, homelessness, an end to my marriage, and terror I have lived with ever since. Now in my 40s, I am permanently and totally disabled. PTSD affects my ability to maintain employment, trust in relationships, function socially, and even get up in the morning.

The second betrayal I experienced was when the Veterans Administration (VA) repeatedly denied me disability benefits for PTSD that I was entitled to by law and they wouldn’t correct their errors, even when they were first addressed over 19 years ago, in 1993.

After twenty-three years of fighting the VA, I finally had my claim awarded (without any retroactive compensation)– but only at a 70% disability rating. In two and a half decades, while dealing with the aftermath of my assault without anyVA support, I suffered enormously.

I am not alone. By DOD’s own estimates, over 19,000 service members are assaulted in the military each year - over 500,000 men and women in the past five decades. For countless veterans like me, a denied VA claim is the second betrayal, and can mean the difference between life and death. And yet the VA has established and used a completely biased, unjust system for approving PTSD disability benefits.  It is a system that is designed to save money and cut costs to our veterans.  This results in veterans suffering needlessly.

Last year, the civil rights organization Service Women’s Action Network (SWAN) uncovered appalling data. From 2008-2010, the VA only approved 32.3% of Military Sexual Trauma-related PTSD claims versus 54.2% of all other PTSD claims. It’s not surprising – the VA requires survivors like me to provide evidence that usually doesn’t exist, and even when we do provide it, the VA doesn’t  believe us, or worse yet, they discount it or “lose” it, like they did in my case.  Why are we punished twice?  Each time we reopen a claim with VA, we are forced to relive our trauma and pain.

The VA has the authority to make a simple regulatory change, so that Military Sexual Trauma survivors aren’t held to a higher standard of proof than other veterans with PTSD. I am asking  the VA to revise its policy immediately, then ensure that all regional offices follow the same standards when processing  MST and PTSD claims– so that veterans like me do not have to live the rest of their lives in pain, or worse – take their own lives.

General Shinseki, you must act now. You have the ability to help and save hundreds of thousands of lives with the power of your pen.

America’s outcry demands that you face the crisis of rape in the military and be there for those of us who have served our country with more honor than we ever received.

Sincerely,
Ruth Moore

SPECIAL Prayer Request

I received the following email earlier today from a fellow veteran who is also hard at work advocating for other veterans.  He asked if we could say a special prayer for MORE fallen veterans who are fighting overseas and risking their lives in an effort to keep America and the rest of the WORLD at PEACE!!

Unfortunately most Americans are so consumed in wanting to know what's going on in other peoples lives, hence "Unreality" TV shows that more my brothers "MARINES" are being killed, in this NOW 11 year war.

As America approaches it 11th year anniversary of the Post 9/11 War, lets turn off all our TVs and electronic devices and say a SPECIAL PRAYER TO OUR CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LET'S ASK FOR FAVOR IN ENDING WAR AND VIOLENCE IN ALL THE STREETS OF THE WORLD.

Then let's pray for our fallen veterans.

Thank you,
May God continue to Bless MOTHER EARTH, WHO IS THE DAUGHTER OF HIS UNIVERSE

Prayer Request

We are asking everyone to say a prayer for "Darkhorse" 3rd
Battalion 5th Marines and their families. They are fighting it out
in Afghanistan & they have lost 9 marines in 4 days. IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE the message spread if more could pass it on. Nothing in the media about these guys because no one seems to care:

Justin Allen, 23, Brett Linley, 29, Matthew Weikert, 29, Justus Bartett, 27, Dave Santos, 21, Chase Stanley, 21 Jesse Reed, 26,
Matthew Johnson, 21, Zachary Fisher, 24, Brandon King, 23, Christopher Goeke, 23, Sheldon Tate, 27.

All are Marines that gave their lives for YOU this week.
Please Honor THEM by forwarding this.

I just did.

More on Faith and Deliverance

A Poem on Faith and Deliverance

       Don’t Give Up
         ©2012 Syneeda Penland

          Stand up!
            Stand tall!
Fight for what you believe in.
            Don’t give up!

When you feel like you can’t go on,
get down on your knees and pray.
Ask the LORD for His guidance,
He’ll guide you on your way.

            Remain true to your convictions
always having faith in the LORD.
            Listen to His guidance,
count on Him to steer the way.

            Don’t be discouraged
            by the devil’s evil ways.
            He’ll gather his army
to try to lead you astray.

Continue to fight for what you believe in,
always giving praise to the LORD.
He’ll protect you through your battles,
            He’ll never lead you astray.

Like the Foot Prints in the Sand,
            He’ll carry your weight.
The weight of all your worries
            to ease your pain away.

You are a child of GOD,
            in need of His care.
            He’ll never forsake you,
            He will always be there.

Two of God's Heavenly Angels

Earlier this month God welcomed home one of his heavenly Angels, my young cousin Phillip Todd Sadler. Earlier today God also welcomed home Phillip's younger cousin, Loren Sadler.  I dedicate the following poem to their memory.

Energizing Love
© 2012 Syneeda Penland

You keep my spirit alive
from an external port.
Connected to my heart
you’re my life support.

You energize my soul
when I’m feeling your vibe.
Like the rhythmic movement of a dancer,
so energetic.
So alive!

Your vibe sends pulses through my veins
by stimulating my heart.
Igniting my internal flame
with but one single spark.

This spark of your love potion
has me going through the motions,
causing me to lose complete control.
My mind is going crazy
from the absence of your love,
which has taken its toll.

While searching for the answer
as to why you’re not here,
my pulse fades quickly
‘cause your spirit’s not near.

Leaving me feeling motionless,
Lifeless, my body is numb.
Without the strength of your love
my life will succumb.

I need the ability to survive
independent on my own,
so I want stop living
whenever I’m alone.

Your vibe inspires the strength
I possess deep within my soul,
removing the insecurities
of being alone and growing old.

If I disconnect your chord
will my love for you die?
Can I survive on my own
when I’m left to be alone?
Do I have to, should I try?

Will I still love and respect you
when I’m forced to live without you?
Will I be submissive and supportive
in all that I do?

Only you can provide the answers
to the questions above.
For now, I need you to reenergize my spirit
with the joy of your love.

Malcolm X on racism, politics and propaganda (1964 - 1965)

Why does it seem like Americans is stuck in a time warp.  What's becoming prevalent to so many young Americans, across all color lines, is the very thing Malcolm X spoke of almost 50 years ago.

Americans need to hold each of their Congressional officials accountable for fair and equality across the board, for all government sponsored program.  Programs that will benefit ALL Americans, not the selective.

We are approaching the 2012 elections and there are many social issues that are up for debate.  I ask that you DO YOUR OWN homework on which political candidate to vote for.  Be it your local city officials, court judges, state Congressman and women and Senators even the President.

Your VOTE counts, so vote on who is really  looking out for the interest of YOU and YOUR family vs. the interest of BIG BUSINESS!!

Photos of Prince Harry Naked and Partying Hit the Interwebs

Wetpaint.com reports -
Prince Harry is a party animal — and a very nude one at that.

The 27-year-old stripped down to his royal whiteness during a game of strip billiards in his Vegas suite at the MGM Grand Friday night, and TMZ has the photos to prove it.

According to the site, “Harry, along with a large entourage, went down to the hotel bar and met a bunch of hot chicks. [...] Once in the room, things got WILD.”

One photo shows what appears to be a naked Harry hiding behind an equally naked girl, and another features a naked girl cowering behind Harry (or his princely doppelganger) as he cups his nether regions.
These shenanigans came a few days before the Prince's unsuccessful bid to best Olympian Ryan Lochte in a swim race in the XS Nightclub pool at the Wynn early Monday morning.

What will the Queen say about His Royal Ginger's latest escapades? Nothing good, we presume.

Keith Sweat - How Deep Is Your love

With Ryan Selection, GOP Doubles Down on War on Women

Food for thought:
Is history simply repeating itself, but in reverse?

You got to be kidding me, after working in the Navy for nearly 20 years with nothing but chauvinistic, self-serving men, why should women in America  (or around the world) want to submit themselves to such "reform".  Wasn't that the sole purpose of the Women's Suffrage Movement?

Instead of watching reality TV shows and getting so caught up in wanting to live someone's else life, Mothers need to become the positive role models for their own daughters.  Or else they will end of like...

My mom always taught me, "If you can't say anything nice about someone, don't say anything at all".

Having overcome adversity of both racism and sexism, I'm approached by so many young women asking me, "How do I get to where you've been?"

First leaving home at 18 years old, now as a 41 year old woman, I have to ask myself - before responding, "Just where do you want me to begin?"

Syneeda, August 11, 2012, after attending my young cousin's memorial service.  Three years prior, I was discharged from the military, watch my mom suffer a massive stroke, through God's grace she survived, and watched my father succumb to a long bout of COPD.  I forgot to mention, I also have to take chemotherapy medication everyday for the rest of my life because of the abuse I went through after speaking out about ongoing military corruption.  The unlawful treatment against me goes far and beyond cruel and excessive punishment.  But when you allow GOD to carry you through somethings, he'll show you your own truth strength. After your triumph and his victory,  he'll continue to guide your path to the spotlight of  his Glory.
With all the knowledge I've gained, since being wrongfully discharged from the military, I've gone back and researched nearly every aspect of our history and I strongly encourage ALL women to do the same.

Remember, without us, there will be no framework to protect mother earth from the ongoing destruction of our mother planet.  That's being destroyed, "all around us",  from the evil devices and chemical weapons invented by man.

As a Righteous woman of God, why would I want to stand-back and watch men ruin our planet, rape our women and children, enslave our men, rob and pilfer our land and money and sign back into law, taking away our "Equality?"

After reading this article, I find it's suggestions not only disturbing but alarming!!  Is this where American women are headed?

huffingtonpost.com recently reports:

With the selection of Rep. Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney's running mate, the Republican Party has clearly signaled that it wants to go full steam ahead and double down on their War on Women. Mr. Ryan's views fall so far outside the mainstream of American thought, practice and tradition, that what he proposes is no less than a radical reshaping of the social compact that has made our country the envy of the world. His proposed policies would march us backward and would impact millions of American women at every stage of life. Their futures would be endangered, their opportunities diminished, their choices constrained and the implicit guarantee that women and men in their senior years may look forward to a modicum of dignity and security, would be torn to pieces.

Ryan's highly regressive tax plan for instance, would immediately impact the lives of middle class families by shifting more of the total tax burden onto the shoulders of those who can least afford it, while reducing the tax rate of wealthy individuals like Mr. Romney to virtually zero.

His spending plan would slash vital elements of the social safety net, particularly those that benefit women and children. Military spending would be protected, but Ryan's budget would cut education, training, employment, and social services spending by 33 percent. 100,000 children could lose access to the Head Start program, 80,000 children could lose child care subsidies and cuts to Pell Grants could leave a million more students unable to afford a college education. More than three-fifths of the cuts would come from programs for low-income Americans.

Mr. Ryan claims that he can keep his budget revenue neutral by closing loopholes, but economists tell us he'd have to eliminate tax provisions that help the middle class and poor like tax credits for kids and tuition costs.

Mr. Ryan wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act which would immediately impact the lives of millions of women and children who now have access to affordable health insurance plans and free preventive health care. Women could once again be denied affordable coverage due to pre-existing conditions, including pregnancy.

Mr. Ryan would do all this even though a Harvard study has clearly shown that tens of thousands of deaths each year are associated with a lack of health insurance coverage.

Mr. Ryan boasts of being "pro-life" but he voted for a law that critics understandably labeled the"Let Women Die Act." The bill would have given hospitals the right to refuse to perform an abortion even if it was necessary to save a woman's life. The law would also have allowed the hospital to refuse to transfer a dying woman to a hospital that would save her life.

Mr. Ryan says he wants to get government out of people's lives yet he supported the passage of a federal law that would forbid terminating any pregnancies, even those that came as the result of rape and incest. He believes it is appropriate to use federal law to compel a woman to bear the child of her attacker, or compel a minor to bear her own siblings.

Mr. Ryan has supported "Personhood" legislation that would criminalize widely used forms of birth control. He has voted to deny birth-control coverage to federal employees, called for the defunding of Title 10 family planning programs and called for the defunding of Planned Parenthood.

Teen Dies in Solitary in Georgia Jail After Alleged Medical Neglect

Solitarywatch.com reported yesterday---
In a particularly horrendous story out of Georgia, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports today on the death of a 17-year-old in solitary confinement in a small-town jail last year. The teen’s mother has now named the town, its police department, the jail’s nurse and doctor, and four correctional officers in a federal lawsuit claiming wrongful death and civil right violations, based on allegations that her son’s serious medical condition was ignored.
Fabian Avery III weighed 153 pounds when he was transferred from the Fulton County jail in late February 2011 to alleviate overcrowding. The 17-year-old was found dead nearly a month later in an isolation cell at the Mize Street Municipal jail in the south Georgia town of Pelham, his 6-foot-1-inch frame shriveled to 108 pounds, according to reports…
Avery died of appendicitis and complications from a bowel obstruction, according to investigative documents compiled by the GBI [Georgia Bureau of Investigation].
He had been arrested in December 2010 on armed robbery charges and was transferred to Pelham on Feb. 15, 2011.
The complaint claims that Avery first reported being ill on Feb. 24, 2011 and was given minimal attention. While he complained of nausea, stomach pains, vomiting and lower back pains, as well as frequently vomiting and defecating on himself, the lawsuit claims jail staff did little to help get Avery the necessary care…
Avery was found dead on the morning of March 18, on a mattress on the floor of his 6-by-10-foot isolation cell.
According to the AJC, the GBI’s investigation found that the teenager had been placed in “the hole” after he first reported being sick, ”because he began frequently soiling himself and not cleaning up or showering.” The jail’s nurse reportedly “suggested that Avery might have been faking some of his symptoms,” despite his apparent extreme weight loss.
The defendants’ attorney told the AJC: “This is an unfortunate case…If [the jail staff] had any indication that he needed any more medication, it would have been provided.”

Jet Skier Breaks Through JFK Airport's $100 Million Security System

The way I see this is...
1. Where are the "auditors" of the billions in U.S. tax dollars that is being mismanaged by the U.S military and Homeland security?

2.  Why are investigators blaming Raytheon for the breach when this area was not under contract to be secured by Raytheon?

3.  Why were the resident's of NYC and travelers "fasely" lead to believe JFK airport is completely secured?

4.  Does this breach present yet another "business opportunity" for another security contractor to step up to the plate, only to continue to "pilfer" more money from innocent citizens?

Where's the Oversight at Nuclear Labs? Hands-Off Approach is Recipe for Disaster...

3811687521_df824a6e79_z
Energy Secretary Steven Chu has preached a hands-off approach to contractors at nuclear facilities. It's not working.

OurtakeBy PETER STOCKTON and LYDIA DENNETT
As the saying goes, “The fish rots from the head down.” This is certainly the case at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tenn., where an 82-year-old nun and two accomplices recently broke in, raising serious questions about the Department of Energy’s (DOE) security strategy.
Energy Secretary Steven Chu said in a statement provided to the Knoxville News Sentinel on Monday: “The department has no tolerance for security breaches at any of our sites, and I am committed to ensure that those responsible will be held accountable.” But there is no denying that Y-12 was a giant failure of federal oversight. Now the people being axed are lower-level employees rather than those who have allowed the security standards to fall far below acceptable levels, such as Secretary Chu, himself.
Secretary Chu should be the first on the chopping block. He has been preaching for years that government overseers should get off the back of the contractors and everything will be fine. Then, of course, he is shocked when Y-12 is successfully attacked by an 82-year-old nun.
After only one year in the position, Secretary Chu’s deputy secretary, Daniel B Poneman, sent a memorandum (PDF) to the department with a safety and security reform plan aimed at curtailing pesky government oversight. “Contractors are provided the flexibility to tailor and implement safety programs in light of their situation without excessive Federal oversight or overly prescriptive Departmental requirements,” the memo said.
It should be clear by now that the current culture at DOE and its semiautonomous National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is to take their orders from contractors and provide little or no oversight. As the previous head of contractor-operated laboratory, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Secretary Chu made clear his disdain for federal oversight, DOE insiders told the Project ON Government Oversight (POGO). In fact, he’s been successful in creating a culture of federal hands off the contractors in the weapons complex.
Some in Congress also were persuaded by the nuclear laboratories to weaken oversight. The House of Representives passed, H.R. 4310, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013, which includes provisions that would make NNSA a more autonomous agency, taking important authority away from DOE, and severely undermining nuclear security and safety.
According to the Nuclear Threat Initiative, if this legislation becomes laws, DOE will only be able to “object to an NNSA policy or rule if the Energy secretary submits justification to the congressional Armed Services committees ‘and a period of 15 days has elapsed since such justification was submitted.’” This complete hands-off approach clearly isn’t working and should certainly not be encouraged by Congress.
One can’t help but wonder why it took the Secretary a week to issue a statement on the Y-12 break-in and send his oversight team to the facility. It’s also curious why security was determined “excellent” and “good” in Y-12’s performance appraisal last year.
Where was NNSA Administrator Thomas D'Agostino during this debacle? Missing in action. Meanwhile, his people are publically equating the security at Y-12 to Fort Knox (PDF). But the only real way to tell whether a site can protect the special nuclear material is a performance test known as a "force on force." A force on force exercise is designed to test a nuclear facility’s defense preparedness.
When was the last time that Y-12’s Office of Independent Oversight did a force on force on Y-12? Only when this group does a relatively tough force on force will serious action have been taken. For example, TA-18 at Los Alamos National Laboratory grossly failed a force on force and immediately the decision was made to de-inventory the site.
After POGO questioned security at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 2008, POGO was assured that the security at the lab was excellent—but that simply wasn’t true. Livermore also grossly failed all three scenarios of a force on force and the decision was made to de-inventory the site; it is currently about 98 percent completed. Why hasn’t there been an Independent Oversight force on force at Y-12 since 2009?
Down the road from Y-12 is Oak Ridge National Laboratory, which has more than a ton of bomb-grade uranium (233). It is pathetically guarded. There was recently a sleeping guard incident at Building 3019, a repository for uranium (233). Independent Oversight has been told not to test security at Building 3019 because it would surely fail. Of course, Secretary Chu would be shocked if something happened at Building 3019 at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Earlier in 2012, Independent Oversight reviewed the known problem with cameras, sensors, alarms and coordination with the central alarm station and the PIDAS (Perimeter Intrusion Detection and Assessment System) at Y-12. They found serious malfunctions in the system including some alarm systems, cameras and sensors that had been inoperable for nine months. Y-12’s contractors (Babcock & Wilcox Company and Wackenhut Security) failed to fix the problem or implement compensatory measures.
Where has congressional oversight been? While Rep. James Greenwood (R-Pa.) was the chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce Committee there were many hearings regarding nuclear safety and security. About eight years ago, when POGO reported on a scandal at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Oversight and Investigations once more did an excellent job. But again that was about eight years ago. Before that, in the 80s and 90s, Chairman John Dingell (D-Mich.) held four to five hearings per year on security. There is a history of Congress taking nuclear safety and security concerns seriously, and hopefully they will recognize the need for more, not less, oversight of these unaccountable labs and production facilities.
The Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee finally scheduled an oversight hearing on the Y12 debacle for mid-September. We’ll see how that goes.

The Path to Prosperity Budget: Your Country. Your Future. Your Choice.

Russell Simmons: Romney-Ryan ticket will ‘destroy our people and laugh all the way to the bank’

The Grio.com reports - Hip hop mogul Russell Simmons weighed in on the presidential race yesterday, penning a piece about how Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are the two men “who will destroy our people and laugh all the way to the bank.”
In picking Ryan, Simmons wrote in a blog post on the Global Grind, Romney made his campaign message clear: “EVERYTHING’S FOR SALE! And all of the money that is made on everything that is sold will be made on the backs of the poor and the working class.”
Picturing a Romney/Ryan administration, Simmons wrote that it would be one in which you get what you can pay for. And in their case, that’s everything. “I have a feeling that one of my rich friends will just buy the government and paint the White House green and make Mitt sleep in the basement,” he wrote.
Citing his support for the Occupy movement, Simmons said the Ryan pick should be a “wake up call.”
“I will ring the alarm as loud as Beyonce ever could and will fight to stop the literal destruction of poor people in this country,” he said. “[Romney and Ryan] are two men who will destroy our people and laugh all the way to the bank with your rich friends. I pray this will never happen.”

My poetry book is now available on Amazon.com

For my viewers, followers and fans who's been anticipating the release of one of my books, my poetry book is now available for purchase on Amazon.com.

"Essence of Black Beauty" is the first volume of a collection of poems I've written throughout my adult life, most of them were written while serving in the U.S. military.

Despite my past setbacks, once I realized nothing, not even a military adultery scandal can keep me from pursuing my God given talents; I've decided to pursue a second career by writing poetry, prose, short stories and song lyrics.

Lately I’ve been working with a fellow Gulf-War veteran to co-author his personal memoir.  He’s as a recovering sex addict and his story is almost as unbelievable as mine.

As a survived victim of workplace abuse I decided to volunteer my services to help him co-author his story.   There are so many forms of abuse towards women and I deeply admire his courage to want to come forward to speak out about his ill-treatment towards women.

For nearly 3 decades, he’s successfully managed to secretly live a double life, as what I would consider to be a "Serial Adulterer".    He’s been married 5 times and has fathered 6 biological children.

He and I met at a local health spa.  After we introduced ourselves as being military veterans we instantly bonded.  Like with all war stories, both of us had some interesting stories to tell.

From one brother to a sister, after he began to share explicit details of his infidelity exploits while stationed overseas in Germany, he had my undivided attention.

For several years, as a married teenage soldier, he was able to satisfy his craving for sex in the "Red Light" district of Germany.    The “Red Light” district is a designated prostitution area near an overseas U.S. military base where military veterans, U.S. government representatives and civilian defense contractors can go to engage in legalized prostitution.

After leaving the Army, he continued to pursue his desire of wanting to enjoy the touch, the feel of a woman and even the "chase" of  women.  Long after he would quench his thirst for sex, he would take his addiction one step further by walking his former brides down the aisle to the altar.  As a father and married man, he continued to have sex with dozens (if not hundreds) of women, showing little or no respect to his (at the time) wife.

His story almost reminds me of Senator John Edwards!  Remember the recent scandal with the U.S. Secret Servicemen….. His tales provide a similar situation.

He and I are still writing about his entire life story and let’s just say, “If you think the author of “50-Shades of Grey” has sparked or aroused your attention with a fictional erotic tale, just wait until you read the true story about a "white-collar" professional, athletic built, distinguishingly handsome African American middle-aged man, sharing erotic details of his womanizing exploits.  Not even my erotic poems can stand up to his tales.

Food for thought:

For hours, I’ve listened to another veteran describe, almost in exact detail, what I personally witnessed while I was stationed in South Korea in 2004-2005.  The only difference is, his military sexual exploits took place in Germany during the first Gulf War, in the late 80 to early 90s.

Twenty years later, I would become the first and only non-married female military veteran to be unlawfully prosecuted, sent to prison and kick out of the military on specious charges of committing adultery.  I was subsequently denied my military pension.

After recently speaking with a number of disabled male veterans at the Atlanta VA hospital, a few retired military officers and even my step-father; who served in Germany during the Vietnam War, each of them confirmed that visiting areas like the Red Light” district was highly recommended by senior military officials, and is “officially” authorized.

And yes this behavior is still going on in Tijuana Mexico, just across the San Diego-Mexican border!

In the military, it doesn't matter whether a man is married or single, when a man has to lower his testosterone levels what better way to do it than treating the men to services at a legalized brothel?!

After serving in the military for over 20 years, I'm fully aware of how senior military officials allow male veterans to relieve days, weeks and sometimes months of built-up stress…

When I was working alongside all those men while being deployed overseas, I’d learned to turn a blind eye to what I saw on board one of the Navy’s warships.  Let's just say, when you are working on board a Navy ship with only men, it’s hard to ignore everything you see.

Once, I personally witnessed a secret group of enlisted men labeling themselves as the “Pink” and “Baby Blue” crew, which was a way to identify who was gay or bi-sexual.

I can easily co-relate this scenario with the prison industrialized system, when gay prisoners resort to lowering their pants for what they consider to be “easy access”.  Unfortunately, this has become a hip-hop clothing trend within the black urban community, also known as “pants sagging to the ground”.

On the ship, "pink" indicated that the sailor considered himself as being strictly homosexual and "baby blue" meant he is "married but on the down-low or bi-sexual".

Thanks to President Obama, the LBGT can now serve in the U.S. military in an openly professional environment, hopefully without fear of having their civil or human rights violated!

My story (case), along with the thousands of military rape cases will truly prove that there’s a significant disparity of how women are being treated in the military oppose to the preferential treatment given to men.
